The Driffield Brass Ensemble of The Salvation Army will be presenting Christmas Carols and collecting for the ‘Red Kettle Appeal’ in the Town Centre during the festive season.

The appeal is a long tradition within the Salvation Army and money collected will go towards helping those in need.

As with all Salvation Army Bands around the world, the Christmas period is a busy time with many people saying Christmas begins when they hear the Salvation Army Band playing carols on the streets.

The ensemble has just played at the Sledmere House Christmas fair and will be visiting residential homes in the local area to play carols in the next few weeks.

If you have a favourite carol then go along and let the musicians know and they will play it for you. They will be in the town centre on Saturday December 10, 17 and 24.
